OWNER AND HEAD INSTRUCTOR
I have been a fitness instructor for over 20 years, teaching various classes, then becoming a certified personal trainer, before finding my love for teaching Yoga. I created Putnam Yoga to provide a one of a kind yoga experience that combines both cutting edge and traditional yoga styles. This combination targets specific muscle groups to increase your strength and flexibility, as well as quiet the mind.
As a wife, mother of 3, and a business woman, I understand the stresses in our everyday life. That’s why I created a comprehensive yoga practice for a balanced body and a joyful mind.

Diane Massaro has been very passionate about fitness. She has been an active runner participating in several marathons. She sought yoga as a way to rejuvenate her body. Seven years ago she found herself in a Vinyasa yoga class and hasn’t turned back. The journey to become a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor has not been easy, especially as a single mother and a full time career. She is motivated by the transformation it has proved in her life and says, “I want to guide others through the benefits of a regular yoga practice; to empower students to listen to their body and live in the moment; and use their breath awareness to have a safe, fun and rejuvenating yoga practice.”

As an exercise enthusiast and certified fitness instructor for many years, the theory of working towards physical and mental health has been a priority in my life. To that end, in 2003 I completed my 200 hour Yoga Certification at Yoga Scape, in Carmel, New York, under the tutelage of Amy Pearce-Hayden.
I love and continue to participate in Yoga related training and educational workshops. The benefits of incorporating a Yoga Practice in your life, at whatever phase of life you are in, are numerous and individualized based on what you are looking for and open to. Each person who attends a Yoga Class has a very personal and unique inspiration that leads
them to their Yoga journey. It is an honor to be a part of that journey - Namaste

Yoga has been part of my life for over 13 years and I continue to grow every day I practice. I discovered yoga in Northern California after having relocated from a hectic corporate life in New York City.
Having been very involved in athletics, I was initially looking for a good workout. Soon after, I realized that yoga was much more than a physical practice. It became a way to connect my body to my mind and helped me understand more about how I wanted to live my life. I fell in love with how my experiences on the mat immediately translated to my experiences off the mat.
I learned to be kinder to myself (and others) and more present in my day to day life. I am so grateful for the yoga training and 200 hour certification I received at Yoga Culture in Danbury, CT with the guidance and support of Jenny Schuck and Wendy Hagen. Through my yoga teaching, I hope to give my students the opportunity to look within themselves and realize they have strength to take on any challenge in life whether on or off the mat, with mindfulness, love, flexibility and kindness.

Karly was first drawn to yoga as a fitness enthusiast looking to increase flexibility and decrease stress. What she gained was far greater than yoga’s physical movement benefits. Gaining a greater sense of peace, compassion and focus through a dedicated practice is something that she hopes to bring to her students.
Karly received her 200hr. certification through Putnam Yoga with Christine Dodge in June 2022, and has been honored to be instructing students right where she fell in love with yoga herself. She hopes you can experience similar fulfillment through your own practice.
